![]() The devs didn't hide a "correct way" to craft from players to laugh at them when the craft failed. ![]() It would just randomly say f*ck you and there was nothing you could do about it (like srsly wtf is that Weald? map)Ĭlick to shrink. But that's the thing. And the game was not designed (or not often enough) to have you naturally improve over time. ![]() Some people might genuinely like that, but (not to sound stuck up) I'm not in college anymore and my time is way more valuable than it used to be. It's literally stretching out/wasting your time, by design. There aren't subtle hints you are missing. You're not getting better or more skilled at the game/or gaming in general, figuring out that type of stuff (or not). But that was rl years on the damn boss not being killed, in an MMO where you are actively paying, by the best and most dedicated players in an already niche and difficult game. I am sure that devs thought people wasting so much time, thousands and thousands of hours on AV, might have been hilarious. When literally millions and millions of gil/super rare/untradable recipe items can go poof from a failed attempt and the game is already super demanding with the amount of time it wants from you, having absolutely no idea how fundamental aspects of the game work, and having no way to learn, is unacceptable to me. But it isn't even about the min/maxing aspect for me, people play MMOs in all kinds of ways. And that's fine if you enjoy that type of gameplay.
