Since they all boost your hit rate, they're all beneficial. The only time I think combat arts are useful in a non-terrain based battle is when the user is already incapable of doubling, or when I wouldn't have killed the enemy anyway, or if their name is Double Lion or Scendscale. "If the game was designed totally different then the combat arts wouldn't be good!" Yeah and Fates might have a good story if it was written differently. Draining HP so you can pull of a single attack with small perks wouldn't be useful if this game didn't have OP terrain While I like the CONCEPT of Combat Arts, I don't like the execution. I'm just a guy with a grudge for those maps. You would think this makes tank-y mages, like boey good, but he's too slow to double and so he wastes even more health(what would be 5hit + whatever attack you used is now 10 + whatever attack you used). ![]() Especially when mages kill themselves each turn, they have low defense, and have liwer health than others. Also why do you have the maps with tiles that take away health when your on them? If the maps only had small parts of it laced with this stuff I wouldn't complain, but making whole maps almost all of this stuf is stupid. I didn't like boey can't remember why, and Mae was too deredere moe moe for my taste. Sonya and Saber are the only good characters. I do disagree bit I'm the biggest advocate for single rng.įINALLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS MY HATE FOR THIS CHARACTER! SHE'S SO PETTY AND SLOW WITTED! WHY WOULD YOU LET THE ENEMY TURN YOU INTO A DUMA FOLLOWER? ISN'T THE FIRST RULE OF WAR NOT TO TRUST THE ENEMY? The maps and characters on her side suck too. You say maps are bad? Awakening had as much thought put to it as this had, and gaiden is 27 years old! It gets a half pass(since this is a remake and they should've made the maps better, but fe13 is recent emblem. I don't like even the concept of combat artsĪlm's story is the only story that should've been. It's generally seen as a decent remake of an old game with some flaws (old and new) and some genuinely charming and fun aspects (old and new), and that's a perspective that I tend to agree with. Personally, I don't find Echoes overrated. I think I found its cast the most immediately likeable personally, I think it has the best character design and artwork, village conversations are delightful, and the music, voice acting, and memory prisms are all such wonderful bonuses I can't help but love them. Now, I think Echoes absolutely blows other games out of the water in terms of presentation. There have been so many anti Celica and pro Celica posts across the ages that I'm inclined to just say that while I personally think her character is well (or at least inoffensively) done for the most part, I understand the disappointment and grudges that players hold against her. Celica is a very controversial character. Echoes isn't even single RN, it's the same RN system Gates had, iirc. That being said, most of them don't inherently bother me, and I'm probably one of few who unironically enjoys the Endgame map. The only ones I full out dislike are on Celica's side, but they're not exactly the best in the series. ![]() Perhaps it's just a difference of playstyle, but I've found uses in the arts several times over, and it does a nice job of making otherwise average gameplay a bit more variable. As someone who generally likes Echoes, I do agree with all your likes, but I do like Combat Arts just as an execution as well.
